WHAT IS INFERTILITY??




This is the condition whereby man have failed to give a pregnancy to a woman after having sexual intercourse .at least  6-12 months we can rule out infertility of men.

  This is a cindition where by man failed to cause a health woman toget pregnant after 6-12 months.


Infertility in men can be due to amount of sperm produced foristance low sperm),or your sperm failed to swim in the cervix to reach the productive female egg. (azooasthenospermia),sperm to be in undefined shape,lack of hormones like testerone ,having problem in enjaculatory system 


TYPES OF MALE INFERTILITY




1.Primary male infertility;

This is whereby male have a history of being not able to give any woman a pregnancy.




2.Secondary male infertility;


This occur whereby a male failed to give a woman pregnancy for a second chance or male had previous have a child 




NB: There is difference between (Erectile dysfunction) and Infertility 


CAUSES OF IMFERTILITY IN MEN


  


INFECTION IN TESTS (testicular infections) and this is known as  Orchitis. this can be caused by virus known as MUMPS VIRUS but there can be combining factor which bacteria can cause disease due to over heating. 

the optimal tempereture of male sperm productiin is 35 degree celcius. when the tempereture increase can cause low sperm production. most of the group which are prone are 

 motorcicyle driver,people who like to wear many clothes,heavy clothes,long truck driver.


Testicular cancer .this is problem where by the sperm flow back to the kidney bladder instead of gowing outside the penis (retrograde ejaculatuon) this is due to the close of male reproductive tube (obstructive ejaculation).. male who is suffering from retrograde ejaculation can pass the whitish urine due to presence of sperm.


  TESTICULAR failed to stay in its normal position and remain inside in the stomach during developmental stage of children in the womb(undescended testicle) or known as cryptoorchidism.. when the test remain in the stomach the sperm will be in high risk of tempereature.


GENETIC PROBLEM or ABNORMALITIES


This problem is known as Klinefelter’s syndrome.


this is the problem of having low production of testosterone which is most responsible in male reproductive system.


TESTICULAR VEIN PROBLEMS


Expanding and folding of testicular vein can cause male infertility this problems known as vericose vein



TESTICULAR SURGERY


 Like sugery of removing and cure of large test filled with water  if is not done in a proper way can lead infertility. 


RADIATION


heavy radiation can cause some deffect in the test which can lead to infertility


HEALTH PROBLEM 

A health problem like anemia,diebetic condition foristance diabetes mellitus ,thyroide disease


USING OF MEDICATION 


Medication like Sulfasalazine


 long use of this medication for pregnancy woman like acetaminophene/panadol during pregnancy csn cause a baby to born with problem of producing low sperm.


THE USE OF ANABOLIC STEROIDS

this medication can cause low production of sperm among Male.

The use of abuse drug like cocaine,smoke and excessive driking of alcohol can reduce the chance to man to give pregnancy to a woman and can decrease low level fo sperm production. 

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO KNOW IF I AM INFERTILITY


YOU should visit near hospital and the following laboratory investigation can helps you to know your status




Sperm analysis  inorder to know sperm count (sperm count/concentration),(colour),ability of sperm to swiming in the vagina. (Mortility) but also the quality of sperm.


Blood test 

for measuring testosterone hormone



Ultrasound(USS) 

Helps to understand if there is abnormalities or infections in male reproductive system.


WHAT ARE THE TREATMENT OF INFERTILITY IN MEN??


Male infertility can be treated with possible underlying causes,treatment can be either to change the mode or the way you are living,like what are the best foods to eat or other any instruction which you can be given by medical doctor.
