WHAT IS ELEPHANTIASIS DISEASE

Elephantiasis

Elephantiasis is a combination of signs and symptoms that occur after the extra circulatory system and the immune system (lymphatic system) are infected by parasites technically known as Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi and Brugia timori which are transmitted by Culex mosquitoes.

The problem of palms occurs after the lymphatic fluid is blocked, leading to inflammation of the affected area,

Elephantiasis can occur in various parts of the body but mainly occurs in the legs and arms.
