Mount Ukombozi Health Sciences Training Centre (MUHSTC) is a Non-Government organization under the auspice of Mount Ukombozi Hospital Limited. It was established in September, 2009 with mandate to provide and promote health service at primary and peripheral level of health facilities through medical and health allied sciences teachings.The history of MUHSTC dates back to 1995 when Mount Ukombozi Hospital Limited was established with the aim of providing health services to the community in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

Due to expansion of Mount Ukombozi Hospital (MUH), the increased demand of health professionals and the spirit of supporting health sciences by founders it was inevitable for establishment of MUHSTC in 2009 to support effective and efficient health services delivery.

The five year strategic plan is the second since the establishment of MUHSTC in 2009. During the first three years of operation, the Centre has been using the short term business plans to support implementation of its activities.

This Strategic Plan is a statement by MUHSTC of its vision, mission, values, objectives and strategies for each of the eight key results areas that will transform MUHSTC into a sustainable Centre in the evolving political, technological and social-economic environment in Tanzania over the 2016 to 2021 period. The plan was developed through a participatory process, whereby both internal and external stakeholders were involved

Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) Passes in non-religious Subjects including "D" Passes in Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences a Pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage

  • Ordinary Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences (Upgrading)      
  • Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including D passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics/Engineering Sciences, Mathematics, and English AND must posses Technician Certificate (NTA Level 5) in Medical Laboratory Sciences
