Sourcing Manager
Job

Reporting

Principal
Accountability:
To work
across al business units in order to maximise stakeholder satisfaction by
ensuring sustainable savings are achieved through effective category and
commodity management. To apply “Best in dass” sourcing practices and drive
value aligned to effective negotiations and contract management.
Develop
commodity strategies, category plans and commercial solutions cigncd to “best
in doss” business drivers for delivering specific components thereof.
Develop
a fact-base to appropriately understand market analytics and category dynamics,
these indude Total Cost of Ownership (TOO) models, comparative analysis, spend
analysis, trend analysis, risk analysis, benchmarking etc
Develop
comprehensive business cases in order to support strategies for approval by
senior stakeholder such as Head of Human Resources, Head of Marketing, Head of
Cash Management and Head of IT
Work
with identified business area to embed and ensure compliance to the Group
Sourcing SSMP policy as reported in the CAB decks for that business area each
month
Introduce
innovative solutions through effective researchensuring Business Continuity
Management (BCM) is guaranteed
Review,
Revise and Re-engineer processes in order to eradicate waste and maximise
throughput
Assist
businesses in delivery of commercial and contractud elements through commercid
negotiations, leading to awarding contracts. Ensure al financial risk,
strategic and commercial considerations are optimised through the use of due
diligence checks, best in dass strategies and general market knowledge
Ensure
sustainable savings by identifying opportunities and delivering benefits
against al targets through effective cost reduction, cost avoidance and revenue
generation opportunities
Introduce
Value Add and Vdue Engineering (VAVE) initiatives that will contribute to
savings and maximise value
Report
on performance against targets for benefits realisation by extraction of data
through Ml
Devise
methods to optimise processes and eradicate waste in order to drive value
throughout the supply chain
Introduce
innovation that wil add strategic benefit through mutual relationships and
synergies by working with the internal customer (business units) and third
party suppliers
To
support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives by interpreting
attention
to details but also the ability to see the implication of the bigger

Responsiblities and output to deliver;
Provide
strategic leadership
Stay
abreast of industry trends, role players and in country opportunities and
chalenges to ensure the business is wel positioned to provide competitive and
industry leading product and services.
Identify
and engage al stakeholders, role players and industry forums to understand
changes to strategy, regulations and markets.
Direct
the review and design of the optimal business model and deliver on required
changes to ensure the business maintain competitive advantage, meet dient
expectations, reduce cost and improve profitability
Drive
sustainable cost and processing efficiencies within retail banking through
continuous innovation industry bench marking and alignment to best practices
leveraging the global, regional and focal matrix
Scan the
external market to understand future chalenges and ensure that retail banking
is well positioned to anticipate market changes Drive business performance
directly and through enabling functions
Implement
performance controls to proactively measure achievement against strategic
targets and address changes or non-performance.
Implement
governance structures and stakeholder frameworks to ensure effective customer
management and engagement
Build
and maintain effective stakeholder relationships within the industry and the
bank to ensure the unit is successfully positioned to manage risks and
expectations and deliver on shareholder value.
Drive
and influence the enabling functions to meet business requirements and enable
the business to achieve the retail banking objectives continuously.
Participate
and contribute to industry and Bank wide forums and governance structures as
required or directed.
Maintain
a healthy risk profile :
Drive a
culture of proactive complance and risk management within the executive team
and the function as a whole.
Manage
the financial sustainability and effective use of resources with;
Setting
and Driving the annud planning and review of Medium Term Flans,
Short
Term Plan and Revised Annud Forecast (RAF) budgets and standards and antiapated
finanad cost targets.
Ensure
rigorous cost management within Business by implementing a highfy structured
budget, monitoring and reporting process and instiling disdpline within the
team around cost control Fteople Management
Together
with the Head of Human Resources, determine the people management strategy for
the area with a focus on tdent management development, resourcing and
retention.
Establish
and maintain a succession plan for the key roles and for one level below.
Review
reward practises together with Human Resource; ensure algnmentto Group Reward
framework and ensuring consistent and fair decisions around reward matters of
employees.
Experience,
Qualifications and Expertise Required
Bachelor
Degree in Finance or any other related qualification
(10)
years’ experience in the Finanad Services sector which must include Retal
Banking
(5)
years’ experience on a senior management level in a large corporate
organisation
In-depth
understanding of fill range of Retail Local Business and an overview of
Corporate Governance Structure
Good
understanding of Retail Banking Products and Practices
An up to
date knowledge of competitor Landscape and local market activity
