Rafiki
Social Development Organization is a development and advocacy Non-Governmental
and Non-profit making. Organization working with Children, Youth, Marginalized
and Vulnerable groups, families and their communities to reach their full
potential by advocating for their rights and tackling the causes of poverty and
injustice. The Organization was established in January 2005 and registered
under the NGO Act No. 24 of 2002, issued with a registration number
No.00NGO/00006336 to operate in Tanzania Mainland.
Rafiki-
SDO has received funding from Jhpiego to implement SAUTI project focusing on
Key and vulnerable population to roll out HIV prevention for highly vulnerable
adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) ages 15-24 years.
RAFIKI

I: JOB
TITLE: DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER (DPM) -(1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor
degree in community development or social work
•
Minimum three years’ experience in managing health programs including planning,
design, supervising and evaluating health care programs
•
Acknowledge skills in one or more of the following areas HIV/AIDS, STIs, family
planning related health services
•
Extensive knowledge of the health system from the National or local levels
•
Previous experience and understanding of the policies of international and US
donor’s agencies and private sector foundation preferred
•
Experience of working in KVP programs and sub grants is an added advantage.

Demonstrated ability in managing teams to achieve health results.

DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work
closely with program Manager to lead and direct technical and administrative
project team.
•
Execute and monitor project activities.
• Manage
changes to scope, cost and schedule of project work.
•
Coordinate priorities and resources of the project’s activities
•
Prepare and update project plans and status reports.
•
Coordinate cross-functional meetings of personnel related to project.
•
Facilitate sessions to effectively resolve issues if any.
•
Allocate appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within given
time and budget.
• Report
status, develop project-related documentation and implement lessons learned.

DUTIES

• Work
closely with Program Manager to ensure overall planned project activities are
implemented timely and outcome focused.
• Work
closely with program manager to ensure Empowerment Workers, PEs, biomedical
teams are accountable in the manner that ensure all deliverables are delivered
to WORTH+ groups with efficiency and timely.

Writing reports for every activity and share with program manager timely
• Review
data report and provide guidance.

Reviewing and sharing reports written by Empowerment workers and share to
Program manager
• Ensure
roll out of BCC training to AGYW before joining WORTH+ groups

closely with government authorities at LGA are well engaged in the project and
sharing with them some reports as per directives and MoU to be signed and

Sauti as well

DUTIES

• Ensure
all Rafiki-SDO staff are aware of the Cash Transfer Program Standard Operating
Procedures provisions and processes
•
Monthly follow up of all vAGYW registered in CTP in Shinyanga District council
and updating the live excel sheet to be provided
•
Troubleshooting technical concerns related to phone, simcard and general access
to mobile money
•
Coordinating and working closely with the Regional Tigo office to reverse
technical related details to ensure vAGYW fully benefit from CTP
• Follow
up on any reported adverse events and coordinating necessary CTP related
referrals (legal, psychosocial, biomedical etc)
•
Ensuring all adverse events are recorded and reported tImely to ODK through the
mobile application, or escalated immediately per the CTP SOP
•
Monitoring uptake and responses to IVR and SMS message schedules sent to CTP
registered vAGYW

Collecting success stories related to CTP

•
Ensuring data quality through reviewing of all data collection forms submitted
to the office by field officers and other data collectors particularly, health
unit’s staff, CHWS and identifying the errors and working with data collectors
to ensure that the errors are timely addressed.
•
Maintaining proper documentation of the programme including periodic progress
reports filling.
•
Ensuring that all data is entered into the database and synchronized into
Database Management System on timely manner.

Ensuring data and field level are collected according to MCSP guidelines, well
kept at all levels, analyzed and results shared with various stakeholders
