Job Description
The Project Officer/ Clinical Services Mentor will mainly be responsible for supporting capacity building of health services providers on the provision of LARC and Permanent Methods of Family Planning. Furthermore, the officer will conduct post training follow-up and in providing on the job mentorship and coaching support to health care providers.  The officer reports directly to Technical / Health Advisor. The job requires 75% of work spent in health facilities working and supporting providers. 

Key Job Outcomes:

Strategic Plan and Budget Implementation. Works with others to implement the strategic approach of the program or project specific to SRHR services. Assists in the development of annual plans and budgets for the SRHR portfolio of the program or project. 
Program Assessment, Measurement and Evaluation. Reviews quarterly and annual program or project progress and financial reports, and gives constructive feedback Identifies best practices in activities. Recommends improvements for program or project performance and assists in sharing innovative methods with partners.
Technical Direction. Assists in the implementation of capacity building interventions for health care providers and members of the Council Health Management Teams in the project areas.
Project and Management Reporting. Assists in the development and delivery of reports related to the program’s or project’s activities. Submits a completed consolidated report to the Technical / Health Advisor on a timely basis.
Meeting and Forum Attendance. Attends Council Management Teams meetings. CHMT meetings, Regional Management Team meetings.
Training Design, Development and Delivery. Assists in standardizing SRHR training curriculum.
Publications: Assists with coordinating publication of research findings, technical reviews and the development of manuals and guidelines for project related activities.
Product Development. Develops collaborative linkages, and coordinates the publication of concept papers and proposals related to the SRHR program.
Project Management and Participation: Leads, manages or participates on cross-functional project teams.


Minimally Required Education, Training and Experience:

Background in health (e.g. Assistant Medical Officer, Nursing Officer or Clinical Officer). Candidates without background in health will be considered if and only if they have demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing community based health projects and integrated FP outreach activities. 
Demonstrated Experience and competence in organizing / facilitating FP outreach activities
At least five-year experience of working on SRHR and FP programs, especially in the rural areas
