DUTY STATION: Dar es Salaam

EngenderHealth Tanzania is seeking expressions of interest from highly qualified candidates for the Data Analyst Position of an anticipated DFID funded programme - Scaling Up Family Planning in Tanzania. This 5-year programme aims to scale up access to FP in rural and urban areas, enabling women to safely plan their pregnancies and improve their sexual and reproductive health and rights. The programme will integrate a comprehensive range of services including care for victims of sexual violence and post abortion care and will seek innovative ways to reach people with disabilities, refugees and young people with family planning (FP) services.
Position Description:
Data Analyst will support the Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Research (MER) Team to communicate and coordinate data and information on a daily basis with the Project consortia team and relevant Ministries. S/he should be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and have a working knowledge of data analysis tools/software. S/he will support HMIS advisers based at the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender and Elderly (Reproductive Health Section) and President Office –Regional Administration and Local Government (Health, Social Welfare and Nutrition Division) to analyze and develop analytic models for respective Ministries.
Key Qualifications:
Degree in statistics, economics or related quantitative field,
Three plus years of relevant experience
Ability to execute on short-term initiatives and longer-term strategies
Ability to work with complex data sets and topics
Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills with experience communicating on an executive level
Demonstrate diagnostic, problem solving and analytical skills
Essential Soft Skills
Self-starter
Able to achieve results in collaboration with own and other teams
Ability to drive results with limited supervision
People oriented
