The Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) was established under the Public Corporations Act No. 17 of 1969 by a Presidential Order through Government Notice Number 115, published on 25th August, 1978.

The Centre is wholly owned by the Government of United Republic of Tanzania and operates under the purview of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation The AICC was established to manage and control the Headquarters’ complex of the defunct East African Community and all other premises and lands in Arusha which belonged to the defunct East African Community. It also owns Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre as per Arusha International Conference Centre (Establishment)(Amendment) Order of 2014, dated 19th March, 2014; and provide facilities and services on the complex for purposes of conferences, meetings, seminars etc

The Centre’s mission is to promote and provide quality business tourism services to national and international clientele for enhanced national social and economic development with the vision of being a model and enabler of business tourism. The Centre invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill in the below mentioned vacant posts.

POST AUDIT OFFICER - 1 Post(s)

JOB SUMMARY

Answerable to: Chief Internal Auditor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Undertaking auditing activities in the Centre
ii. Enforcing financial regulations and procedures.
iii. Continuously evaluating directorates performance with the view of maintaining high standards and keeping the staff morale high
iv. Assessing the degree of adherence to Centre’s policies and regulations by different directorates
v. Conducting regular audits of all offices to ensure that up to date financial records are kept and that approved management and accountancy procedures are followed
vi. Ensuring that the Centre’s assets are adequately controlled, safe guarded and insured
vii. Investigating frauds or misappropriations committed by staff
viii. Carrying out systems audit and analysis to ascertain the effectiveness of established policies, procedures and plans and where necessary recommending appropriate improvements
ix. Performing any other duties relevant to the scope of work that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in preferably Accounting, Finance, Commerce or its equivalent from recognized University/Institution and ability to use relevant computer application software with at least three years’ experience in Audit field.

POST: RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT II - 2 Post(s)

Answerable to: Human Resource and Administrative Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. To prepare file Index
ii. To maintain records/ documents in the registry.
iii. To file, dispatch and cross check correspondences.
iv. To maintain diary and records for files movements.
v. To check and cross check mails, claims and returns.
vi. To receive and register incoming and outgoing mails.
vii. To receive previews, record and facilitate filling and distribute
viii. To perform any duties relevant to the scope of work that may be assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Secondary Education with Diploma in records management from any recognized College/Institution.

JOB SUMMARY

Answerable to Senior Nurse

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Monitor patient progress and identifies any changes in status, acting on those changes to ensure patient comfort and safety
ii. Provide frequent patient evaluations including monitoring vital signs and perform essential procedures
iii. Prepare the patient for various investigations like Ultra Sound, Echo, Endoscopy, etc
iv. Give psychological support to the patient and family members
v. Assist physicians and all healthcare professionals caring for patient
vi. Giving a complete and thorough report on patient status at end of shift/assignment
vii. To prepare daily reports
viii. Ensure compliance of hospital’s procedures and guidelines in anesthetic nursing care deliveries
ix. Assess patients’ medical histories to predict anesthesia response
x. Obtain consent from patients and their families for anesthesia and surgery
xi. Administer post-anesthesia medications or fluids to support patients’ cardiovascular systems
xii. Evaluate patients’ post-surgical or post-anesthesia responses, taking appropriate corrective actions or requesting consultation if complication occur
xiii. Performing any other duties relevant to the scope of work that may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Form Four/Six Certificate and Certificate in Nurse Midwife or its equivalent from a recognized Centre/institution and must be registered with Nurses & Midwives Council of Tanganyika with one year Anesthesia course from recognized Institution.

Answerable to: Senior Assistant Medical Records Technician

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
I. Organizing and maintaining a numbering, filing, storage and retrieval system of files
ii. Organizing and managing in-patient and out-patient reception
iii. Tracing missing files
iv. Collecting, checking and compiling wards returns and periodical summaries
v. Performing any other duties relevant to the scope of work that may be assigned by the Senior Assistant Medical Records Technician.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Holders of Certificate in Medical Records or its equivalent from a recognized Centre/ Institution
