Job Description
HEKIMA Day Care Center and Pre Primary School is a private Day Care Center originated in Tanzania (Dar es Salaam Region- Temeke Municipal) with general responsibilities of delivering Child daily care services and Pre- primary education as per government guide and regulation. The center is currently opened in March, 2019 and closely working with government departments including Social welfare, Community Development, Education and Health as per procedure.
HEKIMA Day Care Center and pre- primary is seeking a competent candidates with strong qualification and experiences in Early Childhood Development services deliverance in Day Care Center in order to reach the Center’s vision. Also the Center is seeking for qualified Pre Primary Teachers with strong experience in preprimary teaching and deliverance. The below are job description for the announced vacancies:
Early Childhood Care Worker-4 posts
Report to: Center Manager
Supervises: Children aged 2-5 years old
Location: Mbagara area in Temeke Municipal
Job Summary
Our Day Care facility is looking for a caring, compassionate Early Childhood Care Worker who has experience caring for children ages 2 years to 5 years. We are committed to providing top quality care and early education for Children who are enrolled in our program with consideration of inclusiveness. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every child that attends our facility. Specific duties of the Job
Creating lesson plans and maintaining a safe classroom environment
Develop a cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe
Monitor children during indoor and outdoor activities and interact with the children to enhance their learning
Work with other Care worker to maintain communication with parents and contact parents in emergency situations
Monitor children during lunch and sleeping time
Supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care
Liaise with Center Cooker to prepare meals and organize mealtimes for children
Daily help children keep good hygiene and support them to toilets
Organize and implement indoor and outdoor early learning activities that allow children to learn about the world and explore interests
Develop schedules and routines to ensure that children have enough physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, language development activities, also rest, and playtime
Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring the problems to the attention of parents
Evaluate monthly children’s performance to make sure they are on the right learning track
Requirements and Skills
Proven experience as a child care worker
Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
Fluent speaking English and Swahili
Methodical and creative
Patience, flexibility, creative, inclusiveness and have love for children
Strong communication and time management skills
Certificate in early childhood development in relevant college
Having experience and skills to first Aid is an added advantage
