Amani Centre for Street Children is one of the largest and best-regarded organizations for street children in East-Africa, currently working with around 750 children and youth, and growing. We have centres in Moshi, Arusha, and Singida, where we offer safe shelter to rescued children, counselling, and fast-track, specialized education, and from where we reunite children with families throughout Tanzania. For our headquarters in Moshi-Kilimanjaro, at the Amani Children’s Home,

we are looking for a

Senior Communications Officer

to join our Fundraising and Communications Team

Do you know how to translate conversations and relationships into (big) money for Amani? (note: you will need to play a big role in helping to raise more than US$ 750,000 per year)

Would you love working in a place where there are always 60+ children around (the Amani Children’s Home in Moshi)?

Do you know how to get Amani featured in a broad variety of Tanzanian media?

Are you able to stay on top of a ‘crazy workload’, with joy and enthusiasm, as a powerful, independent, and exceptionally well-organized self-starter? Are you able to ‘keep numerous balls in the air’ (manage many responsibility areas)?

Do you have the bold courage to keep pressuring a way-too-busy Executive Director to make time to work with you?

Are you okay to work an average of 45 hours per week, including some time on weekends?

Will you be happy with a salary of Tshs 2 to 3 million per month (approx. US$ 875 to US$ 1,325 per month, plus some benefits), depending on proven track record / qualifications / experience?
