SPECIFIC PERIOD EMPLOYMENT ( TWELVE MONTHS CONTRACTS)

1. POSITION: ACCOUNTANT ( 6 POSTS)
REPORT TO: REGIONAL /DISTRICT ACCOUNTANT
WORKSTATIONS: DODOMA (4) ,MOROGORO ( 2) SINGIDA ( 2).


POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for budgeting and accounting functions in the Zones and Regions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) To supervise billing, data entry, finance, supplies and meter reading sections to avoid incorrect billing and unnecessary adjustments of the bills;
b) To ensure safe custody of cash and daily banking activities in the Districts/Regions are done properly;
c) To be responsible for the correct operation and allocation of works orders and keep its records;
d) To be responsible for timely preparation of monthly quarterly and annual accounts for statutory audit;
e) To prepare and submit all returns weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual from your department to comply with company’s procedures;
f) To certify local purchasing orders, payment vouchers and be the second cheque signatory adhering to the authorization limits stipulated in the company’s financial regulations;
g) To be responsible for closure of works orders and prompt submission of certificates to Head office;
h) To process payments in accordance with the terms of payments and availability of funds;
i) To ensure that daily collection received from the cashier is banked on the next day, and keep in safe custody all documents related to banking;


j) To ensure that Value Added Tax (VAT) withholding tax on goods and services rendered including city levy are properly deducted and remitted to the government and respective council on time;
k) To assist in preparing the regional budget and maintain effective Budget control to ensure there are no over expenditure.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
▪ Degree in Accountancy, Commerce, Finance or equivalent from recognized higher learning Institutions
▪ CPA (T) is a must.
▪ One year working experience.

2.POSITION: ACCOUNTS ASSISTANTS (16 POSTS)
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL /DISTRICT ACCOUNTANT
REPORTING OFFICE: DODOMA(7), MOROGORO (5) AND SINGIDA (4 ) REGIONS .

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Assisting Accountant in all financial activities, including originating cheque and cash payments, banking issues, budgeting control and monitoring, revenue collection, cash withdraws, final account preparations and report writing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) To assist in preparation, implementation and control of approved budget to ensure there is compliance to company financial regulations and accounting instructions;
b) To prepare, process and maintain all records of collections and payments as per financial regulation and accounting instruction to ensure availability and accessibility of information;
c) To prepare cheques payment vouchers and petty cash payment vouchers, to write cheques and make all approved payments in accordance to the company’s accounting instructions;
d) To prepare weekly imprest statement band petty cash statement and submit for reimbursement for records keeping purpose and ease of making management decisions;
e) To prepare CRN, DRN, JVS and any other adjustments to ensure that all errors committed are removed;
f) To attending customers in a good manner and acceptable language to ensure that customers are satisfied;
g) To issue works order numbers generated from the system and maintain the register for records keeping as per accounting instructions;
h) To assist in carrying out bank reconciliation every month reconciliation of general ledger for financial account preparation so as to ensure all accounts are balancing;
i) To update all financial data in the appropriate systems to ensure proper management and control of financial information for decision making; and
j) To perform any other related duty as may be assigned by Supervisor.




KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
▪ Diploma in Accountancy, Finance or any equivalent from a recognized learning institution.
▪ A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
▪ Secondary Education Certificate (Form IV or VI).
▪ Certificate of Basic Computer Application

3.POSITION – ARTISAN/LINESMAN (80 POSTS)
REPORTS TO: MAINS FOREMAN
REPORTING OFFICE: DODOMA (35) , MOROGORO (25) AND SINGIDA (15) REGIONS .

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for Construction, Maintenance and Emergency works in the Region/District.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Constructs and maintain distribution lines network in accordance with the company procedures and standards
b) Excavates holes for poles erection to ensure they excavated according to the company standards and measurements.
c) Strings electrical conductors to distribution lines in a proper manner based on Engineering Instructions and Safety Rules.
d) Connects power to the customers timely and according to the Company Standards so as to ensure
customers’ safety to their lives and properties from being endangered by power supplied.
e) Attending both reported and unreported temporarily breakdowns immediately without any delays so as to ensure customers have constant power supply.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
• Holder of Electrical installation trade test Grade III, II or I
• Form IV or VI Secondary Education
• One year working experience.

4. POSITION: DRIVER ( 59 POSTS)
REPORTS TO: STORES AND TRANSPORT OFFICER
REPORTING OFFICE: DODOMA (34), MOROGORO (10) AND SINGIDA (15) REGIONS
POSITION OBJECTIVES
Driving company vehicles, and carry out other vehicles operation as instructed by procurement and transport officer in support of the company’s business operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To drive company vehicles to support various business operations of the region.
b) Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records for proper management of vehicle and management decision;



c) To operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner observing all traffic regulations to avoid accidents and loss to the company;
d) To maintain high standard of service to both internal and external Customers;
e) To perform minor maintenance works on assigned vehicles to ensure the vehicle is in good condition all the time to support business operations in the region;
f) To maintain fuel consumption of the assigned vehicle and reports all abnormalities to the relevant supervisors;
g) To monitor the schedule for minor and major vehicle maintenance to avoid service regular interruptions;
h) To keep vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times and readily available for any assignment in the business operations;

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
▪ Certificate in Driving issued by NIT, VETA or any other recognized institution.
▪ Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV/VI).
▪ Certificate of Competence issued by Police Tanzania
▪ Driving license Class C, C1, C2 & E
▪ One year working experience of driving from the reputable organization.

5. POSITION: STORES /SUPPLIES ASSISTANT (8 POSTS)
REPORTS TO: STORES AND TRANSPORT OFFICER
REPORTING OFFICE: DODOMA(4), MOROGORO (2)AND SINGIDA (2) REGIONS .

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for receiving, issuing and recording materials in the regional store to ensure store balance is maintained all the time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To receive materials from Suppliers to ensure there is conformity to specifications, quality and quantity correspond to given specification and storing the same in a safe place;
b) To issue materials by insuring the quantity and material issued corresponds with the approved store issuing voucher;
c) To post issue vouchers to ensure stock balance corresponds with received/issued items at all times;
d) To update stores transactions in appropriate business systems to ensure correct data management and control to facilitate business decisions;
e) To carry-out Local Purchase Order to ensure that items purchased satisfy business needs and the company achieve value of money.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
▪ Ordinary Diploma in Material and Logistic Management, Procurement or equivalent.
▪ Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV or VI).
▪ MUST be Registered by PSPTB
▪ Certificate of Basic Computer Application

6. POSITION: RADIO AND TELEPHONE OPERATOR (07 POSTS)
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL CUSTOMER RELATION OFFICER
REPORTING OFFICE: DODOMA (2), MOROGORO (5) REGIONS .

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible to attend all customer calls in a polite, customer friendly and professional manner whilst
resolving Simple service and insuring that call Centre activities run smoothly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Identify Problems and escalate complex issues to your supervisor
b. To insure all Temporary break down are recorded on time and referred to respective emergence team
c. Respond to all calls from head office regarding customer issues
d. To receive calls from customers and relay information to the recipient staff clearly, timely and perfectly
e. To register all customer complaints in the special register
f. Proper recording of time used to restore/repair/respond to customer complains/breakdowns
g. Answering customers queries and give clear clarification to the customer

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
▪ Certificate in Marketing , Public Relations or equivalent from any recognized institution.
▪ Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV or VI).
▪ Certificate of Basic Computer Application.

7. POSITION: CUSTOMER RELATIONS OFFICER (1POST)
REPORTS TO: DISTRICT MANAGER
WORKSTATION: DODOMA REGION

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Implements marketing, customer services strategy, guidelines and provide administrative support to ensure marketing, communication and customer service functions are rendered effectively to attain customer satisfaction and delight in the District.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Coordinate and supervise operation of “One Stop Shop Centre” of the district and ensure all services are offered as per customer Service manners, rules and regulations.
b) Establish and maintain customers’ database of the district as per customer’s distribution network feeders or wards.
c) Implement district marketing, communication, customer relations strategies and enforce policies and guidelines to support corporate strategies
d) Assist on formulation of strategies for networking and maintaining relationship with customers in order to determine problems they encounter and recommend cause of actions to management.
e) Design and prepare programs, promotions and awareness campaigns on new businesses opening and services within the district.
f) Supports the role of implementing corporate branding, core values and cultural transformation.
g) Prepare daily, weekly and monthly report on customer services for the district.
h) Facilitate the implementation of “Corporate Customer Service Charter” in the district and ensure its compliance.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
▪ Bachelor Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or Mass Communication from a recognized College/University.
▪ Secondary School Certificates – Form IV and/or VI.

8. POSITION: ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (18 POSTS)
REPORTS TO: DISTRICT MANAGER /ENGINEER
WORK STATIONS: DODOMA (5) MOROGORO (10) AND SINGIDA (3)

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Implements all scheduled activities and work plans including, construction and maintenance of distribution networks effectively and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Construct and maintain distribution lines network in accordance with the company procedures and standards to ensure access to electricity is maximized.
b) Inspect customers’ installations to ensure standards set for safety and quality of installations are met and security of supply is guaranteed.
c) Assist supervisor/engineer in preparing short & long term plans construction/maintenance schedules for expansion of distribution network to increase the pace of electrification.
d) Closely monitor load growth on secondary sub-station through periodic measurement to ensure that distribution lines and equipment’s are not overloaded.
e) To conduct routine inspection of distribution lines and perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuity of supply to customers is maintained.
f) Record periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates modification or replacement of equipment which fails to meet acceptable operating standards.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
▪ Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized institution
▪ Secondary School Certificates – Form IV /VI.
▪ A driving licence class C, C1, C2 and E will be an added advantage.

9.BUSINESS APPLICATIONS OFFICER: (1 POST)
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL BUSINESS APPLICATIONS OFFICER
REPORTING OFFICE : TANESCO REGIONAL OFFICE -DODOMA

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Assist in supporting Business systems and maintenance of all ICT equipment and the provision of technical advice and support for ICT related activities in the Region/Districts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc.
b) Assist in maintenance of corporate WAN
c) Assists all users with the administration of printers, scanner, workstations and other computer peripherals
d) Assists with the maintenance of the telephone system, including telephone switches.
e) Assists with the creation of new hire telephone and voicemail extensions, routing extensions to appropriate locations and.
f) Assists in supporting corporate applications; user desktops, etc.
g) Assists with basic troubleshooting, and backup.
h) Help in installation and improving computer software and network equipment.
i) Help in installation of antivirus software.
j) Help in implementation of database, application and operating system service packs and patches.
k) Help in creation of network and email accounts for new users.
l) Set ups of computers for new users and ensures delivery of equipment to users in different locations if necessary.
m) Updates company phone lists and email address books.
n) Keeps the ICT Assets inventory lists and ensures it is up to date. Keeps & maintains hardware maintenance schedules and due dates.
o) Carries out maintenance operations for ICT Assets.

10 : TRANSPORT ASSISTANT (1 POST)
REPORTS TO: TRANPORT OFFICER
REPORTING OFFICE : TANESCO REGIONAL OFFICE -DODOMA
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Assist to ensure that Fleet Management in the Company is professionally managed and monitored and value for money is maintained.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Assist Transport Information Management System (TIMS) to facilitate transport activities.
b) Inspect motor vehicles/cycles before and after repair and maintenance by service providers in order to ensure there is always value for money..
c) Ensure vehicles are well maintained and kept (clean) all the time and maintain discipline of drivers.
d) Attend repair and maintenance requests for company motor vehicles so that their optimally utilized to support the business.
e) Making sure that all transport fleet vehicles are properly maintained and serviced, keeping road base up to date.
f) Assist to compile and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual repair and maintenance progress reports from the districts and submit the same to the Management.
g) Assist to ensure timely renewal of Motor vehicles Insurance and Road License are renewed on time.
h) Keep track for all vehicles under car tracking system so that any discrepancy could be reported for
immediate rescue measure.
i) Enhance safety matters in the section to ensure safety to employees, customers and equipment.


KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
➢ Diploma in Automobile Engineering from reputable Institution..
➢ Form IV/VI certificate.
➢ Knowledge of Computer is an added advantage
