VACANCY: (ASSISTANT) PLANT MANAGER
(When proven capable to be promoted to Plant Manager within
6 months) East West Seed has set out an ambitious growth strategy to expand our
leading position in the vegetable seed industry in Tanzania. As part of our
expansion we are developing a new line of packaging- and treatment facilities
in our new plant in Moshi Town. We welcome experienced professionals from the
packaging industry to provide leadership to our highly successful team plant
& packaging team (20FTE). Candidate Profile Graduate or Post-graduate
Degree in Seed Technology, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in packaging industry, preferably seed, food,
animal feed, pharma or similar Excellent knowledge on packaging machinery,
automation, and packaging material Expert in packaging planning/job scheduling
in complex, dynamic environment of multiple products and SKU’s Good
understanding of industry/factory pollution norms, safety, weight and measures,
labeling and marking ERP experience (SAP, ABS, or similar) will be a value
addition Experience with Kaizen, S5 and/or lean manufacturing also advantageous
High ambition level with passion for innovation and automation.
