Legal Specialist - VTLL003
Role purpose:
The Legal Specialist shall be responsible to provide operational legal support in the legal team, effective legal services to the company and play a link role between the legal team and internal and external stakeholders on assigned matters.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Drafting sales and supplier contracts, lease agreements, non-disclosure agreements, terms and conditions and memos.
Overseeing the execution of contracts in line with the company Delegation of Authority (DOA), legal policies and procedures.
Ensuring that each supplier has a valid contract by liaising with responsible line management and assessing the availability
Managing consumer complaints and provide feedback to the Tanzania Regulatory Authority as required by Regulations.
Managing records of company disputes and ensuring timely submission of status reports to different internal stakeholders
Ensuring timely availability of legal advice and support to line management pertaining to various business issues as and when required.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Very good knowledge of legal concepts, techniques, principles and advise management accordingly
Ability to apply knowledge of law and advise the line management accordingly
High level of computer literacy exceptionally conversant with Word
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer oriented approach
Strong communication skills, fluency in English and Kiswahili and ability to interact with other team members

Ability to work under minimum supervision
Technical/Professional qualifications:
A holder of Bachelor of Laws from a recognized university,
A Registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania.
