Job Description

Location: Sao Hill Industries and GRL Tanzania Ltd, Mafinga - Iringa, Tanzania.

Contract Type: Six Months (Internship)

Work hours: Full-time

Department: Production, Marketing, Procurement and Forestry

Reports to: Heads of Departments

Company Background

Sao Hill Industries Ltd operates one of the largest Sawmills in East Africa, producing high quality sawn timber as well as pallets, doors and other value-added products. The company is also the main supplier of transmission poles in Tanzania. Sao Hill Industries Ltd also operates two state-of-the-art timber treatment plants.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate shall have:

1. Bachelor in Chemical and Process engineering 

2. The candidates must have recently graduated or graduated not earlier than June 2016.

Duties

Chemical and Process engineering 

a) Assist in co –ordination of the data collection process ensuring that production data is captured timely and correctly.

b) Assist in controlling the stock by performing a stock reconciliation between physical and theoretical stock at the end for each month to minimize losses.

c) Assist in renovation the Stock data System (SDS) SO that, it always gives the best output.

d) Assist in verifying and systematically entering all production data into the system (SDS) for Management and Accounts reports.

e) Assist to compile all sales, exports and dispatch reports on daily basis.

f) Work closely with supervisors to continuously devise and improve data collection methods and the quality of information derived from this data.

g) Send the production reports to the Supervisors on daily basis.

h) Perform any other duties as be assigned by the Supervisor.
