Purpose
of the Role:
The
purpose of the role is to conduct planning work as a member of the Engineering
& Reliability team accountable for the delivery of the planned performance
of the department with zero injuries at the lowest practical unit cost. To
specify the requirements for safely, correctly and efficiently
completing
approved work.
Main
or Key Accountabilities
Execute
the “Plan Work” element of the Business Process
Framework.
Comply
with quality specifications and authority levels set out in the documentation.
Review
the Work Order Task Status Report on a daily basis: To
assist
in prioritizing planning work / to track upcoming work.
The
plan approved work orders (within the area of accountability) for
resource
procurement and execution prior to the Required by Date.
Engage
with the work execution teams to contribute to the planning
details
from those expected to do the work.
Incorporate
work execution team input into planning packages.
Obtain
sign-off on Work Packages from accountable Senior
Supervisor.
Identify
and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning of work
orders for completion by their required by Date.
Plan
work to minimize the impact on operating performance without exceeding the
‘required by date’ for work completion.
Plan
work to minimize the demand for resources without exceeding the ‘required by
date’ for work completion.
Specify
resources as per Planning Process Flow and initiate orders.
Ensure
work packages comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies, and
procedures.
Develop
and use standard work packages to improve the efficiency of the planning
process.
Support
the Scheduling process by ensuring that all required
resources
are planned to ensure the purpose is met.
Liaise
with departments on the availability of equipment, tools and
material
for planning purposes.
Actively
identify systems and procedures regularly within the area to
maximize
effectiveness and efficiency within the Company.
Ensure
that the filing system is kept updated.
Maintain
user authorization and identification.
Ensure
the month end submissions are up to date as required.
Ensure
completed work packages are filled in correctly and all
required
information has been provided.
Additional
Requirements:
Strong
computer skills with advanced proficiency in MS Office
programs.
Must
have good written and oral communication skills in English
Language.
Must
be able to work with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated
leadership ability.
Able
to show initiative and coordination skills and be able to interact with a team.

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree the or higher in Environmental Science/Engineering or related
fields from a recognized institution.
Experience:
Minimum
of 2 years working experience in relevant field. Experience in the Mining
industry is an added advantage.
Understanding
of environmental laws and regulations that apply to the Gold Mining Industry
Working
knowledge of ISO 14001 based environmental
management
system
Driving
skills – candidate must have a valid Tanzanian driving license.
Purpose
of the Role: The purpose of the role is to undertake environmental monitoring
program and enable company compliance in line with legal and other
requirements. The role holder will also be responsible for assisting in the
implementation of ISO 14001.
Main
or Key Accountabilities
Assist
the Environmental Superintendent to implement the monitoring programme for
water quality, air quality, noise & vibration, meteorological parameters
and other monitoring programs as assigned.
Conduct
weekly, monthly and quarterly water sampling programme.
Proper
use and up keeping of the site environmental laboratory and Monitoring
equipment.
Conduct
air quality monitoring, both depositional and gaseous.
Monitoring
blasting and advice on best timing for the blast to take place based on
prevailing wind directions.
Calibration
of monitoring equipment.
Advise
on the best approach for stormwater management
Understand
all monitoring related legal requirements and monitor compliance.
Compile
data for preparation of monthly and annual environmental monitoring reports
Supervision
of subordinates.
Additional

Able
to speak and understand the English language
Computer
Literate (Basic Microsoft applications and internet)
Good
interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Strong
problem-solving skills
Self-motivated
with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Purpose
of the Role: The primary purpose of this position is to protect company
property, assets, detect risks and deter crime and report any crime they may
encounter.
Main
or Key Accountabilities:
Prevent
unauthorized entry by using a vehicle or foot within the SML and entering
dangerous areas such as pits and forest.
Confront
and prevent suspiciously unarmed and armed persons entering the SML and if
necessary, search and apprehend them.
Deal
with rioting groups from communities and illegal miners
Identify
hazards/ risks that might cause a loss to the company or an injury to employees
and acts accordingly to rectify the situation.
Compile
relevant information of assets/incidents in a disciplinary case docket
including a complete written statement where applicable and hands over docket
to the supervisor BPF Accountabilities that executes the initiation of work
orders in Business process framework.
Attend
court in testifying against perpetrators.

able to work under pressure with zero supervision.
